Fereshteh Jenabi Namin: The Censored Star – Struggles and Triumphs

Farshad Janabi was an actress known for her fearless and daring roles in films before the Iranian revolution. One of her notable roles was in the film "Barefoot to the Noon," where she portrayed audacious characters. However, due to widespread protests, the film's screening was halted at the time.

After the revolution, Farshad Janabi faced a tragic fate. She was sentenced to execution and went into hiding. The combination of her anonymity, poverty, and secretive life led her towards addiction, and ultimately, she passed away in obscurity in 1977.

In the film "Barefoot to the Noon," her counterpart was played by #Faramarz_Sadighi. After the revolution, Sadighi continued to take on significant roles, with his most notable being the lead role in the film "Delshekaran" directed by #Ali_Hatami. "Delshekaran" was considered the most expensive film in the history of Iranian cinema up until its production, and the lead role, previously held by Farshad Janabi, was handed over to Sadighi.

In the film "Apocalypse of Love," #Ezzatollah_Entezami played the opposite role to Farshad Janabi. It was Entezami who depicted the sensitive aspects of Janabi's character in the film.
