Fariba Khatami A Fashion Forward Icon - Embracing the 'Mini-Jupe' Trend in 1965!


Fariba Khatami was an Iranian actress born in Zanjan in the year 1943. After completing her secondary education, at the age of 19, she started her artistic career by acting in commercials.

Her debut in Iranian cinema was in 1964 when she appeared in the film "Dooset Daaram" (I Love You), directed by Dr. Esmail Koushan. In the following year, 1965, she played roles in three films titled "Jahannam Zir-e Paay-e Man" (Hell under My Feet), "Abram dar Paris" (Abram in Paris), and "Shekoufehaye Omid" (Buds of Hope).


In the early 1960s, she starred in the film "Seta-ye Se Ta" (Three Uncles) directed by Saber Rahbar, alongside famous comedic actors of that time, Mohammad Motevaselani, Gorshah Rezaofi, and Mansour Sepehrnia. 


The film "Antar-o Montar," produced in 1976, was Fariba Khatami's last film, and she did not appear in any other films after that. During this time, her private life faced difficulties, and her 13-year-old daughter named Niloufar tragically committed suicide.













Afterward, she appeared in numerous films, including "Shans-e Bozorg" (Big Chance), "Morad va Laleh" (Morad and Laleh), "Duzd-e Bank" (Bank Robber), "Nakhaleh-ye Ghahreman" (Uncles the Hero), "Vall-e Motaleli" (Temporary Bride), "Millionaire Farari," "Aqa-ye Dozd," "Dokhtar-e Koddoda," "Zanha va Shoharha" (Women and Husbands), "Hooghaha-ye Baghi," "Danaye Ghahremanan" (World of Heroes), "Farari," "Zan-e Be Nameh Sharaab" (A Woman Named Sharaab), "Sarsekhat," "Bazi-e Shans" (Game of Chance), "Khatakaran" (Sinners), "Ghazzaar," "Ghesse-ye Delha" (Tale of Hearts), "Saqi," "Reza Motori," "Hadise-ye Javayan" (Adventure of the Bold), "Hassan Farfar," "Ba Sharafha" (With Honors), "Aroos-e Istanbul" (Istanbul Bride), "Khanoom Khanooma" (Miss Madam), "Majarajouyan-e Khashen" (Rough Adventure), "Duzd-e Sevom" (The Third Robber), "Ekhm Nakon Sarkar" (Don't Be Angry, Sir), and "Antar-o Montar."
